Personal Development

Personal Development is at the core of what we do at Goffs-Churchgate Academy. 

The School Inspection Handbook identifies the integration of Personal Development as:

"The curriculum provided by schools [that] should extend beyond the academic, technical, or vocational. Schools support pupils to develop in many diverse aspects of life."

At Goffs-Churchgate Academy, we wholeheartedly embrace this definition. 

For us, Personal Development goes beyond academics; it encompasses the holistic growth of each individual student. It's about nurturing their intellectual curiosity, emotional intelligence, social skills, and resilience. It's about fostering a sense of identity, purpose, and belonging.  

At Goffs-Churchgate Academy, every student is known and cared for. We pride ourselves on creating a supportive and inclusive environment where students feel valued and respected. Our aim is to equip students with the skills, knowledge, and values they need to navigate life's challenges with confidence and integrity.

Our PD curriculum is delivered throughout form time and our fortnightly timetabled PSHE lesson called Respect. This ensures our curriculum offers both breadth and depth.
