Ofsted Report
Ofsted recognises Goffs-Churchgate Academy as meeting the Expected Standard in every area
We are delighted to share the outcome of our June 2026 Ofsted inspection. Under Ofsted’s renewed inspection framework, Goffs-Churchgate Academy was judged to have met the Expected Standard in every area: Achievement; Attendance and Behaviour; Curriculum and Teaching; Inclusion; Leadership and Governance; and Personal Development and Wellbeing. The school’s safeguarding standards were also confirmed as met.
Meeting the expected standard across every aspect of the inspection is a significant achievement and reflects the remarkable journey of improvement the school has made since joining the Generations Multi-Academy Trust in September 2017.
The report recognises the positive impact of the school’s recent improvements, stating that leaders have taken “highly effective steps to raise expectations of what pupils can do, and to create a positive sense of community.”
This outcome is a testament to the hard work, determination and commitment of our students, staff, parents and carers, Trustees and Local Academy Board members. We are immensely proud of what our community has achieved together.
Ofsted’s description of life at Goffs-Churchgate captures the school that we want every young person to experience:
“At this caring, inclusive school, pupils are valued and supported. Staff know pupils well. They are ambitious for pupils, including those with barriers to learning, to succeed. Pupils have a strong sense that they belong.”
While we are delighted with this recognition, we remain ambitious for the future. We will continue building on the progress made so that every student can achieve, thrive and feel that they truly belong at Goffs-Churchgate Academy.
