Behaviour and Rewards

Here at Churchgate we expect our students to model our school values in the behaviour they demonstrate both inside and outside of school.

We have high expectations of behaviour in our school, in order to ensure that behaviour is condusive to learning.

Our behaviour for Learning policy details clearly our expections.

Behaviour and Rewards Policy

Addendum to Behaviour and Rewards Policy

We are a rewards first school and look for opportunities to reward students for demonstrating excellence against our values. Every House point gained contributes to the overall House total, which culminates at the end of the academic year with one house being awarded the coveted House Cup.

Working in partnership: BASSH Behaviour Charter

BASSH-Behaviour-Charter-Nov-25.pdf

This document has been produced collectively by the Broxbourne Association of Secondary School Headteachers (BASSH) to set out a clear, consistent approach to behaviour across all local secondary schools. It reflects our shared commitment to maintaining high expectations, creating calm and purposeful environments, and ensuring that every young person can learn free from disruption. The opening section of the Charter sets out our united belief that every child has the right to a high-quality education and that such an ambition is only possible through a strong partnership between schools, families, and pupils.
